Earlier this month, I sent you some information about how our Massachusetts cheap insurance rates (for all types of insurance combined) stacked up against the other 49 states, taking into consideration median income for that state. As a result, I got several comments back asking about how we here in Massachusetts ranked for Automobile Insurance separately…..regardless of the median income in the state.
I sourced some info from one of the industry sources and compiled the information in the block to the right. Notice the range of Automobile Insurance Rates swings wildly between $2476 at the highest and $805 at the lowest.
The study compiled rates from six major insurance carriers in 10 ZIP codes in every state. The rates were for the same full-coverage policy for the same driver — a 40-year-old man with a clean driving record and good credit.
The study only considered the rates for the 20 best-selling vehicles in the U.S. Each model was rated on its cheapest-to-insure trim level. Those vehicles were:
Not only does this information show that we pay far less than the most expensive states, but it also shows that the “average” Massachusetts resident pays $1460 for their auto insurance. And that’s still $149 above the national average of $1311.
Compare that number against what you are paying. If you are paying more, ask yourself “Why?” There may be a legitimate reason for it, especially if you have had an ongoing situation with accidents or moving violations, or you drive an especially expensive vehicle. But if you have a good driving history and you are paying more than $1460 per year, you should be calling us immediately. I’m confident that we probably can save you some money that would be better put to use elsewhere in the family budget.
Econosurance has been here serving the Massachusetts area community for over 15 years. Over that time we have saved our customers hundreds of thousands of dollars. Give us a chance to do the same for you. You can count on us now and in the future. Saving money is great, but not at the cost of service. We offer the best of both.
